There's nothing like a fresh laundry metaphor. We all keep making up some everyday because its the simplest activity that that we wish we could replicate so easily in all our lives.
The physical action itself is straight forward, put dirty clothes in water, add soap, scrub gently, rinse and hang to dry.
All of a sudden I just appreciate this simple action and I can't think of a really good metaphor to use right now. As I made my way to the shower this morning, I saw my laundry hamper and it was full.
I recalled the joy of seeing an empty hamper and the significance washed over me. An empty laundry hamper, no dirty laundry, no baggage, no task that I really have to make time to do, no reminder that I have been lazy... so many thoughts.

Now I wish I could do same with my life, fix every problem, forget some old memories, start afresh with new things, wash out people who found no place for me in their lives...
I really want to smell fresh laundry. I really need to do my laundry.
By the way I have done my Laundry now :)
