Kiss Kiss Lulu Guiness

Hi,

So much going on. It's that time of the year... again. Decisions to last a lifetime. I find myself in a whirlwind. But to keep myself sane I window shop online. And I came across Lulu Guiness's designer purses. It started with this cylindrical piece which caught my attention.

Since then I researched and found so many quirky unique bags that I knew belonged in my possession. (My wallet willing). The most popular of the her clutch purses are the iconic lips. They are everywhere with the 'pose': put the purse on your face so it looks like you have engorged gorgeous lips.

Brazil 2014

World Cup Brasil 2014
Another world cup is here!

When it comes to football i just stick with Chelsea, Mourinho's clubs, and any good player I notice and any cute players (*wink*, still a girl). On a national level, yes Nigeria my home team and England and any favourites who are well known in Europe.

I know lots of guys will be watching all the matches feverishly marking players that would be traded during the transfer window gauging their skills and blah (it is that serious). Not for me. I might not even watch any match and just take advantage of the period.

There is a kind of tingle in the air during the world cup. Its like an infection and people are more tense/relaxed. You can skip work early, stay out late and get away with anything because people are looking the other way and you know they have just one thing on their minds. Its like Christmas for a month.

Makeshift Happy

Makeshift Happy
This year has been challenging so far. I am happy I have been able to snap out of it most times and smile. Of recent I found out that happiness is a choice. I dressed up in my favorite clothes put on some lipstick and decided to be smiley and chatty with people and it kinda worked. So now I know my happy triggers.

Frozen Yoghurt(Yogurt) Party

Yoghurt/Yogurt
I have been getting more and more concerned with my diet since I started accepting that my body may never be svelte again and Kim K curves are my reality. I don't run to salads but I started drinking more water and I started running (on and off), and I am also thinking of picking up a sport.

One other thing I do now is over rely on yoghurt. It doesn't help that there are more and more frozen yoghurt shops popping up everyday. They are so delicious and they taste so much like ice cream. And my training app recommended yoghurt smoothie recipes so I have this impression that yoghurts are 'healthy', but are they really?

Research online suggests that while yoghurts are healthier than icecream it won't help taking it all the time like icecream and expect to not put on some weight. To be called an Ice cream, it must contain at least 10 percent milk fat. Ice Cream is made with cream, and premium ice cream can contain as much as 16 percent milk fat (I have to be mindful this one). Frozen yogurt is not made with cream and so does not have a fat requirement; it is made with cultured milk just like natural yogurt though probiotics do not survive the freezing temperatures.

As can be seen there is very little difference and even more carbohydrates. So making a meal out of frozen yoghurts isn't such a good idea. And its also best to top it with fruits, wheat/oat cereal, nuts, muesli etc. so you can get something good out of it.

In conclusion, remember that natural yoghurt has more benefits than frozen yoghurt.

I will have to curb my froyo craves to once a week or even less. Or stick to my homemade natural yoghurt fruit smoothies.

Yum!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter / Game of Thrones
It's been a while. I have been good. Happy. Some people even say glowing. I have been miss 'tag-along 'and gone out everyday of the week. Almost. But so busy.

I might as well enjoy my free nights if I am going to go back to school soon. Speaking of which I want to travel before school or at least get a schengen visa for Europe so I can go to Disney Land in Paris. :)

I haven't written fiction in such a long time. I want to pick it up Again. But you know life happens.

In commemoration of the four day weekend, Happy Easter. So far it's been full and I hope it will be even more fun filled and relaxing and trying new things with new people. And of course abundant spiritual blessings and graces for me, my loved ones and everyone.

And Easter Monday is greatly more anticipated (I hope that's right) because of the episode after the purple wedding. Game of Thrones!

Happy.

I Am Loving #GirlBoss

Sophia Amoruso #girlboss
I was casually going through old interesting posts on my favourite business/entrepreneurship websites and I stumbled across the Nasty Gal's CEO's story. It was more like tapping into what she did as a source of inspiration to entrepreneurs. It was just a casual glance but I noticed the popularity of the Nasty Gal brand spiking everywhere on social media and online. I started following Nasty Gal on instagram and then the CEO herself Sophia Amoruso.

 #girlboss
Well I am now truly inspired reading an overview of her story on several sites and some features in business newspapers. I think I have a new girl mentor. Her book #GirlBoss will be out soon and I can't wait to find out more about her story and why she's the business world's new darling.

I will definitely get a hard copy and hopefully an autograph if possible.

Inspired me.

Ciao

Bebe.

P.S. Doesn't she look fierce in all her pics? :)

New Kit 2014/2015!

Chelsea 2014/2015 Jersey
Out with the Old, in with the New and Exciting.

Have I ever told you I was a Chelsea fan. Yes I watch Football. But only when I can, you see I can be very passionate about things and when we suffer a loss... a story for another day.

But now my team is just crazily lifting up my spirits right now. We had a shaky run but right now it feels like an amazing ride because things seem on the the up and ups and we might win the UCL. Yes I said it. :p

My team store sent me some good news the previous week, that the new kit is out and it can be pre-ordered now to be shipped by the end of April.

My solemn promise 'If When we make it to the finals, I'll get the new jersey and wear it for the match.'

Now just to pray ahead of our next important ties in the Premiership and against Athletico in the UCL.

Did I also mention the time is right? Mourinho back with us, an amazing line up with Terry and Lampard still on the squad... winning 'the Cup with the big ears' will be even more precious to us now than the last time.

Am so 'heppy'. :D

Ciao

MLMs: I Don't Like Pyramid(s) (Schemes).

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) Pyramid
Hi there.

Just a quick write up on MLMs (Multi-Level Marketing). It starts with someone well dressed and looking successful walking up to you, and they are telling you: 'You too can make a lot of money and live the life you have always dreamed of.' They show you pictures of exotic locations, 3-storey houses and luxury cars; you can't help but imagine yourself in those pictures smiling proudly. They finally show you that triangle pictograph with you sitting on top of a pyramid of your friends/network, with dollar signs 'arrowed' to you. But what they don't show you is the giant network of people sitting on your head.

Welcome to the 'shell' of Multi-Level Marketing.

What I would do with Twenty Million Dollars ($20m)

Yes, Twenty Million Dollars. It’s a good round figure. Besides, don't you know the dream of living on one million dollars is so 90s.

I can’t remember when exactly but I saw a news piece on an international news channel talking about the 'new' rich in either the UK or US. They said living like a millionaire with 1 million was possible in the 80s but for the 2000s you need approx. 2 million to live the millionaire life style..... for a short while.

But think about it, this is the age of billionaires, 500ft Yachts, Gulf Stream private jets, owning a island or two, owning a major sports team etc. Millionaires are almost insignificant in all this displays of luxury.

Anyway, I digress. How would I spend $20million? Depends on what I love. First of all, I would start small; with the basic things I need sorry, want.

The Importance of Exposure

I never got to think about this before at least not deeply. How where you have been can dictate where you will go to. I have a very complex introverted personality. I grew up shy and quiet, always having something to say but not having the confidence to say it. Now grown up I can talk but I am not the conversation starter. I always used to wonder how like-minded individuals found each other since I have difficulty with that. I find that the multitudes of my siblings' friends are of the same wavelength as I am but why can't I be able to attract those same people to my life.

A lady that spoke at a seminar recently said something that resonated with me.

What to do in a boring town

Abuja
We all know it's hard moving to new place, especially moving from a big bustling city to a developing town. I did. It's been a year and it hasn't been easy. I have been exposed as being shy and a little socially challenged. Making new friends is kind of hard especially if you are also working on not losing the ones back home. Finding things to do in a town that is less exciting than one you are used to is... well... challenging. In this developing town I live and work in, it’s so monotonous. It's all about gardens and night clubs. I am a literary person, I like wild nights spaced with quiet poetry recitals.

The transition to a slower pace can and did expose new sides of me; I have been the couch potato, the procrastinator and the burgeoning hermit. I then decided to get off my butt and do stuff. But not only my bad side came out; I became more entrepreneurial, independent, curious, more put together with thoughts and plans for the future. It has been a ride.

For you out there in this same situation don't lose hope, you just have a new opportunity to do something different.

Take the chance

The long way back home

It's been a long time.

I am broken but I choose to remain strong. I had a really good start of the year with my eyes opened to so many things. Like how much I can take before I say it is enough.

People have left leaving we with a whole lot to take care of, people left my life quietly and I couldn't see they didn't want to be by my side any more, I had fab ideas I am working on, I have plans to be all I want to be or just get by.

So much in my head I can't even start with one topic.

Things will get better. I hope, I believe in God and he will bring me to where I am supposed to be. Right now all I have to do is stay positive and active and grab opportunities.

Bebe will be fine.

Now to start my irokotv subscription. Lol.

A, be good.
